Alter it Monthly - February

This is my entry for Alter it Monthly (shrines, nichos, altars and Dream boxes). The shrine was given to me by my good friend Rhonda from lost in cardland. Our intent is to exchange ATC's using the Art of Nick Bantock as our inspiration. It has taken a while to get it going so this challenge was a perfect prompt. I have used alcohol inks and Pigma archival brushes on the metal after wiping it with alcohol - wasn't easy to make the inks stick. I put a transparency over the TH clock . The background for the mail (catslife press) art sign is verdigris ep. I made a love ATC for February using TH stamps. All the other ingredients are from my stash.
Thank you for looking! Sorry for the bad photography.

  1. this is lovely work. I love the colour of the shrine. great effect. I found that i had to leave the alcohol inks a while to dry on before touching.. not like the usual fast dry, when i did a metal nicho shrine.. the end result is beautifully mottled though.
Thanks for joining us on alter it monthly. its a very worthy entry

  8. What a cool shrine! I love that clock! I am always drawn to time pieces for some reason. Those alcohol inks worked so well for the background.
