For the last few days when I have walked the path I use to go to the store, a humming bird has come flying out of this tree. Today I looked real hard and found the nest. It is built close to the end of the branch and is made of lichen. It is about the size of half a tennis ball. This hummingbird feeds at our feeder and in the garden. She has been around for a few months and chases any other hummingbirds away. I hope this story gets a happy ending because there are 3 cats living nearby. I will keep you posted. Thanks for looking!
