Grungy Monday # 6
Here is what I made for Grungy Monday #6 where Linda had us using Tim's techniques from his Christmas tag #8 from 2007. I have used a Pebble acrylic dabber, weathered wood and walnut stain distress inks and Tim's wood grain embossing folder for my background. I stamped Tim's words onto a piece of weathered wood paper and cut out with a Spellbinder die. The cage is cut from wood and stained with walnut stain and the bird is grunge board inked with aged mahogany. Flowers were made with stamps from Stampin Up. Leaves were cut using regal crest die. Background leaves were stamped with lettuce acrylic dabber.
It is getting hard to find time for creating and blogging. All the chores seem to come out in the spring. I could use a gardener and a maid. It is still raining every other day and temperatures are below normal but it s great having more daylight hours.
Thank you for looking!

Sending gardener and maid immediately. We must get our priorities right! One of my favorite quotes, Donna. Gorgeous tag. take care. Donna
ReplyDeleteYour tag is gorgeous, I love those words as well. Yvonne x
ReplyDeleteLove the dark colours and splash of colour - I see little bit of floral gardening on your tag - does that count? Glad you found time.

I know what you mean about finding time to craft but when you make things like this surely the chores can wait?! Love the little bird and butterfly in the corner - provides a lovely balance and contrast of colours.
ReplyDeleteYour tag is so pretty Donna! I love how you decorated the little birdhouse! xx
ReplyDeleteDonna, this is lovely! The GM faux wood technique looks EXTRA fabulous with the woodgrain embossing. The sweet little bird and her colorful house bring a real sense of spring. Gorgeous job!
