The theme for March at Alter It Monthly is TIME. I have made this wall hanging using an old advertisement poster. It is backed on photo board. I also used a Sizzix embossing folder, time and cog pieces from Tim Holtz, distress inks- black, walnut stain and frayed burlap, black acrylic paint, and a few nuts from my stash. The stamps I used were from Scroll's Work, Stamping Up and Tim Holtz. I think that is all. This was a fun project.

I made this for the Just For Fun Challenge - Wings and a Time element. The images are from Cemerony, The wings stamp is Tim Holtz. I embossed them in black and then sponged them with Forever Green Perfect Pearls. I edged the tag with black soot distress ink. The watch piece and hand are Tim Holtz. The Time Flies stamp is from Inkadinkado. Thank You for looking!
This week over at the Play Date Cafe we are given the colors hot pink, turquoise, rusty orange and chocolate brown. I have made a distressed piece using TH distress inks, a Cuttlebug "gears" embossing folder, TH "gears" die, TH stamps and embellishments. I have used alcohol ink on the clock and stickles on the gears.

I made this piece for the Created Byhand Challenge. I used TH Alterations-caged bird and Sizzix Swirly for my dies. I used a Cuttlebug embossing folder -organic flourish and some TH tissue tape. The background came from a piece of scrap paper from when I was painting a bird cage. The sentiment is TH. I was thinking about feeling caged in by all of the have to do and should do's of life.
