Created Byhand - Looking In..Looking Out/Use Dies

I made this piece for the Created Byhand Challenge. I used TH Alterations-caged bird and Sizzix Swirly for my dies. I used a Cuttlebug embossing folder -organic flourish and some TH tissue tape. The background came from a piece of scrap paper from when I was painting a bird cage. The sentiment is TH. I was thinking about feeling caged in by all of the have to do and should do's of life. Thank you for looking!

This Quietfire Quote reminds me to trust that spring will come again. The scene is from Stampscape. The women is from Itkupilli. I used Stazon, SU and distress inks. Thank you for looking.

Created Byhand -Create without limits

The theme for Created Byhand this week is Play. Playing is my favorite thing to do and now that I am retired, I spend most of my time doing just that. For this piece I began playing with the bucket for a different challenge and this is what happened. Most of the stamps I used are from Quietfire design, the print pattern is SU and the splotches are Stampington. The clip art is from Aisling.net. Thank you for looking. I hope you have lots of time to play.

Created Byhand - Quotes Book

The challenge this week at Created Byhand is the letter Q. This prompted me to finish the cover for my quotes book. I cut out letters, circles and scalloped circles using my Big Shot from Stampin Up. A ring holds it all together. Inside I have stamped all of my quotes on acetate circles. This allows me to check out how the quote I want to use will look and where I want to place it before I stamp it. It is a very handy little book that I use all the time.

Back to school with attitude

Seems I missed the nature challenge.  This week the Created Byhand Challenge is "Back To School Days". I made this ATC  using paper from Tim Holtz, a quote from Quietfire Designs and clipart from Stampington. The shoes didn't scan well but they are shiny and ready for dancing off to school.
