The Compendium of Curiosities Challenge #7 involves creating "tinted vision fragments". I was up very early so I could participate this week. I am going away tomorrow so I have a zillion things to do. Of course everything that could go wrong did but I carried on. I have used clipart from Gaby Braun, Stampington and Digital Collage. Tissue tape and love tag are idea-ology. I also used black soot acrylic dabber, tea dye, black soot, vintage photo, walnut stain and aged mahogany distress inks. Stamps are from Crafty secrets and TH. And of course a fragment treated with pesto alcohol ink. Now I have a very big mess to clean up. I am sorry I will not be here to see what every one is doing this week but I will hopefully be back in time to participate next week. Happy creating! Thank you for looking!

I made this piece for the Created Byhand Challenge. I used TH Alterations-caged bird and Sizzix Swirly for my dies. I used a Cuttlebug embossing folder -organic flourish and some TH tissue tape. The background came from a piece of scrap paper from when I was painting a bird cage. The sentiment is TH. I was thinking about feeling caged in by all of the have to do and should do's of life. Thank you for looking!

This week the Compendium of Curiosities Challenge at Studio L3 is Multi-Medium Collage. I have used a grungeboard bird and flourish from TH, distress inks- tea dye, black soot, walnut stain, aged mahogany, old paper, and tumbled glass. All stamps are TH except the letters for nest and I am not sure who made them. I used Golden gel medium because I don't have any of Claudine Hellmuth's Multi-Medium YET. This was a fun project. Thank you for looking!

The color challenge at THE PLAY DATE CAFE is to use PURPLE, LILAC and LIME GREEN. Purple is a favorite of mine. I have tried to make my garden mostly purple with lots of irises, lilacs, lavender, thyme , rosemary and sage, etc. I have used a napkin to create this card. The sentiment is from Stampin Up. Thank you for looking!

The challenge for this week at Think Monday- Think ATC is raven. I have used a Scrollswork raven stamp but I've scruffed him up a bit. The background is an altered dictionary page. Thank you for looking!

It's Monday again ! Time to get grungy. This week for the Compendium of Curiosities Challenge we are to use distress powders. I have used broken china, weathered wood, tea dye,old paper and black soot distress powders and ink. I also used the Sizzix patchwork folder and Baroque die. I will embellish this when I put it into my book. I am with Linda on loving distress embossing powder. I find the most important step when using it is to shake it up well just before you apply it. Thank you for looking !

The challenge at Dragonsdream was to use inchies in your tag and 3 colors. I have used images from Artchix Studio and stamps from Scrollswork, Stampington and SU. Thank you for looking!

The Compendium of Curiosities Challenge this week is Shabby Chic. The painting is shabby but the pearls are chic. I used pitch black, pool and snowcap Dabbers. The jesters stamp is from Scrollswork , the floor is Tim Holtz and Celebrate is from S.U. This is a fun but frustrating technique. Patience is not my middle name. Thank you for looking.
