Tim Holtz - 12 tags of Christmas 2010 -Day 3

Tim has created another fabulous tag for us on day 3. The generous Artyjen is providing a T!m's Splinter Group Linkie for us. It is a great place to get inspired. I had many of the things for todays tag but not the tree stamp. Instead I used the tree embossing folder and rubbed over it with black soot distress ink. I used a piece of cloth tape instead of tinsel. I love Tim's ribbon but I am not thrilled with the tissue tape flower. It took me many tries and I am still not pleased. Oh well, that's what happens when you are in a hurry. Thank you for looking and thank you for all your kind comments. They mean a lot to me!

  2. Oh this is just gorgeous, love the clever way you made your branch, I like the embossed version better than the stamped one xxx

  4. I'm so jealous that you had the tissue tape! And the bird die cut! I collaged sheet music onto a gunge board christmas tree for mine and substituted some lace for his trim and a postoid stamped on sticky backed canvas for the wreath. Mine's definitely suggested by Tim's but different, but I really love it! May be my favorite so far. My tags for days 2 & 3 are going up on my blog for tomorrow if you want to go check them out.

  6. Love all three of the tags you've done. Am still waiting for the Stickles to dry on my number 3, and pondering how to decorate the lower part. You've got a real vintage look on number three.

  9. Your tag looks terrific! I've yet to make #3 but it is the first tag that I have quite a bit of the right stuff to use! We used quite a bit of the tissue tape on the cruise and I really liked working with it. We made rosettes and they turned out well, so I've had a practice run! I won several stamps sets from Tim on the cruise, but I had some of them already, so I swapped with a girl who had won a bundle of tissue tape and would have preferred stamps. We both came away happy and now I have LOTS of tissue tape to play with!

  10. I love how your tag turned out. The colors all blended so well, it is very subtle. I think your flower turned out great too. Still planning on aquiring some tissue tape to try it.
